Engineering Training Manager

1.0 FTE (37 hours per week, 52 weeks per year)

£54,000 per annum

We are currently seeking an enthusiastic dynamic and motivated Training Manager to join our high performing team. In this role, reporting directly to the Head of Faculty, you will be responsible for managing all elements of our commercial engineering contracts, working closely with employers to ensure we are offering the best possible quality of education for our learners.

The successful candidate will be responsible for bidding and tendering for new contracts, identifying new and existing markets, growing the area of business in line with the faculty’s development strategy and managing a diverse team consisting of lecturing staff, assessors, training consultants and contract managers. Leading this team towards a shared objective, the best possible learner experience and employer satisfaction.

You will play a pivotal role in the continued improvement of course delivery for both Mechanical and Electrical / Electronic Engineering commercial contracts and ultimately will be responsible for delivering engaging and well-planned lessons, both in person and remotely, across multiple levels including FE, HE and Apprenticeships. You will manage and develop the team, in support of the Head of Faculty, to ensure programmes of study meet student and employer expectations and high achievement.

The ideal candidate must have extensive management experience and be able to demonstrate experience of teaching and learning within FE from Level 2 to Level 4 as well as a deep understanding of apprenticeship standards.

You will have a Degree or equivalent vocational qualification and both industry and teaching experience in Mechanical and / or Electronic Engineering.

It would be advantageous to have experience in bidding, tendering and winning contracts for new business.
