Course Director - Construction Crafts
37 hours per week, 52 weeks per year
(Full time hours: Monday – Thursday 08:30 – 5pm, Friday 08:30 – 4.30pm)
£33,927 to £41,041 per annum
We are currently recruiting for a Course Director to lead on Construction (carpentry) courses within the college.
The successful candidate will be primarily teaching across a range of courses within Construction Crafts mainly carpentry and Bench Joinery. In addition, you will be required to complete on-site assessments of student competence for Level 2 and 3 Apprenticeship. Ability to deliver across another related trade area would be an advantage although not essential.
You will need to be a highly motivated team player and have the skills, drive and enthusiasm to deliver and maintain the highest standards on the courses. The successful candidate will need to have a high level of knowledge and good experience of their trade, along with an advanced Carpentry or Bench Joinery Level 3 qualification.
A minimum of 2 years teaching experience up to and including Level 3 is required. You will be committed to developing learners’ skills and technical understanding. A teaching qualification and Assessors Award along with experience of Curriculum management and development within a FE environment are essential.
