GCSE Facilitator – Term Time Only

37 hours per week, 36 weeks per year**

** Consideration will be given to a job share for exceptional candidates.

£18,622.79 per annum (pro rata £22,291.91)

The College is looking for an enthusiastic and motivated person to join our friendly and professional team within the English& Maths Department.

The main purpose of the role is to support the current teaching staff by facilitating and / or supporting lessons to cover existing staff day-to-day absence, staff training and longer term cover as and when required to ensure our students have the best possible opportunity to succeed.  When you are not teaching or supporting the students you will be assisting the department with the preparation of teaching resources.

The ideal candidate will have classroom experience as a Teacher, Teaching Assistant or Cover Supervisor looking to gain skills. Candidates who have been supply teaching or  those who have part completed their teaching qualification  or those still in their first 2-3 years of teaching are also encouraged to apply.

A teaching qualification is desirable, but the successful candidate must have a minimum level 3 qualification. Experience of working with young people aged 16-18 is essential as well as the ability to deliver a creative curriculum.  You will have excellent organisational skills and be able to work independently and as part of a team.
