Student Support Assistants

£9.94 per hour (£8.45 + £1.49 hol pay) to £11.51 per hour (£9.79 + £1.72 holiday pay)

We are seeking to appoint highly motivated, energetic and dedicated individuals to join the Bank staff within the ALS team at BCoT, working alongside specialist tutors and vocational lecturing staff to provide an outstanding learning experience for our more disadvantaged learners. 

The post holder will be determined and committed to develop learners with difficulties, disabilities and wide range of other learning needs. The post holder will be expected to develop physical, emotional, social, intellectual and employability skills for each learner.

The successful candidate will educated to Level 3 and have experience of supporting young people 16 plus.  Experience of supporting learners with LDD in a classroom environment is desirable and a good working knowledge of foundation learning is essential as are effective organisational skills, excellent interpersonal skills.

You will work on a zero hours contract, and be called upon (sometimes at short notice) to provide cover. Your pay will depend upon the hours you have worked during the month.

Our pool of bank staff are vital to ensure that we provide an outstanding service to our students and ensure lessons are covered by experienced and familiar staff during periods of expected and unexpected absence.
